Social Finance Lab (SFL) is a platform that promotes research and knowledge-sharing on social finance and impact investing. We are looking for Associates for Transnational Engagement who will be responsible for forging partnerships with universities, recruiting Research Fellows, and supporting university licensees of the Social Finance Lab. This position is purely online and part-time, with a focus on engaging with institutions around the world.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic plan for engaging with universities in different regions around the world, including identifying potential partners and building relationships with key stakeholders.
Recruit Research Fellows to contribute to the Social Finance Lab's research agenda, by identifying and reaching out to potential candidates.
Provide support to university licensees of the Social Finance Lab, by ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and materials to effectively use the platform.
Develop and deliver training and capacity-building initiatives for universities interested in incorporating social finance and impact investing into their curriculum and research.
Manage and maintain relationships with existing university partners, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources to continue their engagement with the Social Finance Lab.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of social finance, impact investing, and related fields.
Experience in partnership development, ideally within an academic context.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience in online communication and digital tools, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
Able to volunteer for 5-20 hours per month to cultivate 3-5 partnerships.
Compensation:
This position is unpaid. Associates will benefit primarily from the exposure to transnational engagements, contacts, and the experience that they can include in their professional portfolios. Associates are encouraged to design and lead consultancy projects that generate revenues through which their work can be compensated.
